For those of you that use support staff that are out of your immediate area. How do you let them support the system? Do you give them root access?:eek:

Yes, it would be hard for them to do their work without root access.

Make sure you check out your staff first.

As long as you develop a good rapor and you *know* they are who they say they are then give them root access to everything they need :)

if they didn't have root access- how would they do their work?

Groups.

You just need to know how to set permissions properly and you can give them access to certain parts of the system without giving them full root.
