So unless i sell servers .. I can't really do that!!! dbbrock1 11-17-2002, 11:50 PM If you have cPanel it's very easy to do. It takes me about 5 minutes to setup a reseller account. hosthero 11-18-2002, 11:35 AM try a free cpanel/whm reseller account at lypha.com - they are giving away free reseller accounts.. :D got my account a few days ago and it rockz! Do you plan on sleeping? Will you do it for you clients and their clients? Just owning your own servers isn't all there is to running a hosting company (if only it were that easy *G*) Happy Hunting. I dont get particularly mad if some site or company has 'support' hours. webby 12-01-2002, 06:56 PM if you have cpanel/whm then it will takes 5 minutes to make reseller. But you have to think first about reseller tech support, billing, reseller faq's and other issues... rusko 12-01-2002, 08:45 PM it all depends. if virtually nothing goes wrong with your servers are the resellers know what they're doing then having 24/7 support is not that necessary. reseller support issues usually require someone to have root in order to address them, so you cant just hire a tech support putz - the person needs to know what he/she is doing and you need to be able to trust them with your boxen. jolly 12-04-2002, 05:46 PM Originally posted by hosthero try a free cpanel/whm reseller account at lypha.com - they are giving away free reseller accounts.. :D got my account a few days ago and it rockz! But why they are charging even $1 :D:D:D:D bespoke 12-05-2002, 01:16 AM You are only allowed to reseller to one account if I am not wrong. I seen this posting discussion before. RajanUrs 12-05-2002, 05:20 AM You got your own server and you want to offer reseller plans. Ok I hope I got than correct. The easiest way I can suggest is get into some deal with another reseller to maintain and host your machines/ plans. You can offer some annual contract price for his services + commissions on sales (if he is wanting to increase his capacity he can use your server) After a year or so when you are more familiar with the business and the technology you can opt out to set it up individually. The other alternative is to hire some for consultancy on a short term basis. |
