You get 1kb/sec download?
Are you still on 14.4 modem?

No, he said his ISP is capping his downloads. Although, I highly doubt they are. Are you on broadband? And have you tried having Kazaa find more resources for downloading?

Kazaa Lite gets those speeds anyway, it's so lame.

If you really think that's what's going on, change the port you use for P2P transfers to port 80. That's HTTP and almost certain never to be capped aside from the theoretical maximum transfer limit.

Right now with about 15 downloads, ~10 of them are going, the slowest is 0.19kb/s and the fastest is 8.69 kb/s.

Program doesn't really matter, sure good coding helps but it's all related to the person's upload speed. Use the find more resouces function, it will sometimes find me enough downloaders that I reach my max of 170KB/sec, which is pretty good considering my "true" max is 187.5KB/Sec.

I max out at 350 kb/sec - I'm in a rural area and RoadRunner's bandwidth is not congested.

We have a winner! :D

I get 10 mbits downstream stright from my ISP. Why anyone would use P2P is beyong me. On usenet, you dont even get out to the internet, its straight from your ISP.

Depends how good your ISP is with retention of binaries.

True, some ISPs suck in this reguard.

Mine runs about a week or so for most. Anything that I really want (I only get lossless stuff and complete albums/concerts) that is half missing or something, I have an easynews subscription for. I get only 8 mbit/s from them though :D

Who is your ISP?

I believe it's only the 'local' ISPs that actually forbid P2P program sharing, etc. Although I could be wrong.
