my isp is capping file shraing softwares like kazaa, morpheus etc. My download speed is about 1 kb, is there anyway i could avoid being capped or get better speeds??

If you really think that's what's going on, change the port you use for P2P transfers to port 80. That's HTTP and almost certain never to be capped aside from the theoretical maximum transfer limit. Use the find more resouces function, it will sometimes find me enough downloaders that I reach my max of 170KB/sec, which is pretty good considering my "true" max is 187.5KB/Sec. Who is your ISP? I believe it's only the 'local' ISPs that actually forbid P2P program sharing, etc. Although I could be wrong. |
