View Full Version : Online DEMO of phpbb, ibf, ubb, minibb, ubb, etc...
siq604 11-17-2002, 03:17 AM For the newbies, can't decide which forum to run?
Everyone always asks which bulletin board is best, but its a pointless question. The only way to find out is to run them all on the same server.
PHPBB, IBF, vB soon, VBB, Phorum, UBB, Zorum, MiniBB, YaBB SE, XMB, and more all running on the same server! If you know howto safeguard the admin panel, PM me.

JWise 11-17-2002, 04:05 AM Pretty Good.. You should also add more forums on the other forums, and not just the vB, so visitors can get a good idea on how all the boards look if they had more forums.. And a good insite on how the postbit looks..
Me personally, LOVES the vB
AdamTuttle 11-17-2002, 04:44 AM I would say vB is the best..
Informity 11-17-2002, 05:34 AM what about wBB 1.2 and 2.0... you need to run those as well :)
Alex[nl] 11-17-2002, 11:33 AM Is it me or is everyone directed to iBF beta 2 on all links?
Safeguarding the admin CP (if needed) can be easily done using htaccess ...
jameso 11-17-2002, 12:43 PM Alex: it seems taht if you click on any of the links on the main page you are directed to their forums.
There you will find the links to the other bulletin boards.
siq604 11-17-2002, 02:14 PM phison.com: Ok, i'll see about wbb later today..
And what were you guys saying about .htaccess? I do want to open up the ADMIN CONTROLS, but don't have any ideas as of yet....
Please post here if you know howto on any or all of the forums, and also keep the forum requests coming in...
JWise 11-17-2002, 02:57 PM .htaccess can be accessed in your Site's Control Panel.. You should be able to set a username and password for any directory you see fit
JeremyV 11-17-2002, 04:20 PM you're using a fairly outdated version of UBB.threads
debug 11-17-2002, 06:06 PM May be an asp forum: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/
siq604 11-17-2002, 09:19 PM MoneyMade: Thanks, but I was referring to help about setting it so the admin panel of each board can function w/o doing damage...
JeremyV: I know, I'm asking for a newer version from them... Hope they reply soon...
debug: I tred to use Snitz already, but my Host is using Apache ASP which isn't compatible :( but i'll see what they can do :)
debug 11-18-2002, 09:01 PM Free asp hoster: http://www.brinkster.com./AboutSolutionComparison.asp

Apache ASP doesn't support VBScript, but ChiliSoft ASP should. I'm in the process now of migrating a Snitz forum over to Linux so this is one of the things I'll be looking for as well.
