My domain arkansasequine.com (64.62.144.176) cannot be seen from my ISP (Cox Cable). "Unable to locate server" message. Yet it can be seen from other providers and through a proxy server. The DNS propagated 8 days ago. If it matters I signed up for a small reseller account, just to play with. I have done nothing inside WHM.

When I ping the site it times out. When I tracert the site it occasionally times out or cannot be found.
I called Cox Cable and asked that the update their DNS Tables and the site would work for a night. Then the next day same problem.

Is this a problem with my ISP or do I have a dns problem.

Thanks for your help from a total newbie.

That sounds to me like an ISP problem....One thing you may want to do is go to http://visualroute.visualware.com/ and trace from your home location (should do it automatically by leaving the text box blank and hitting the Trace button).

I had a problem with my own ISP last night and this told me exactly where the bottleneck was.

Trace from home said "node is losing packets".

Trace to site said "IP packets are being lost past network Hurricane Elec. Insufficient cached information to determine the next network hop past
hop 9" which is Hurricane Elec.

If you use windows, setup the dns in your networking config, reboot your computer then you should be able to see your site from home .. then contact your ISP and ask them what's going on.. :D
