Jtru 11-16-2002, 08:25 PM Am I allowed to second (or third) that thought? Steven.C 11-16-2002, 08:28 PM Or at least keep them all in the same thread. There are like 3 thread in the past 3 days about UnitedColo being down.... Keep them in the same thread... Techark 11-16-2002, 08:41 PM I think someone should just start a UCG is down forum. Once or twice a week we can all post UCG is down even if they are not. I am sure UCG will catch up and make it a valid post. Decius 11-16-2002, 09:49 PM I don't mind. I like knowing who's down and who's up. It relates to the quality of a vendor. Fahd 11-16-2002, 10:00 PM Maybe someone should setup a separate forum just for issues with UCG? mushrew 11-16-2002, 10:01 PM If there was a post on every time rackshack went down due to emergency network maintenence the forums would be filled with them =) AussieHosts 11-16-2002, 10:30 PM Originally posted by mushrew If there was a post on every time rackshack went down due to emergency network maintenence the forums would be filled with them =) One of our boxes is up 134 days there...so I am not sure how often you think Rackshack go down but it would be close to hardly ever? :) Gary BiGWill 11-16-2002, 11:00 PM OT: has been some time since the last fdc down thread ... seems as if they'r more stable these days. It's not a big deal, I'm just poking some fun at them. cabalstudios 11-17-2002, 01:03 AM Originally posted by Editor One of our boxes is up 134 days there...so I am not sure how often you think Rackshack go down but it would be close to hardly ever? :) Gary Your server having an uptime of xxx number of days does not mean the network is not down ;) The UCG threads are mainly targetted at network. AussieHosts 11-17-2002, 01:53 AM Originally posted by cabalstudios Your server having an uptime of xxx number of days does not mean the network is not down ;) The UCG threads are mainly targetted at network. Around 99.5% from here (our nPulse monitor) in the last calendar month, .2-.3% of which were our own ISP connection. From Alertra: Server 1: Activated: 05/02/2002 Outages: 5 Uptime: 99.876% Server 2: Activated: 05/02/2002 Outages: 5 Uptime: 99.518% Server 3: Activated: 05/02/2002 Outages: 8 Uptime: 99.687% All of which have to take into account a few times when we have knocked something over ourselves. So I still consider "If there was a post on every time rackshack went down due to emergency network maintenence the forums would be filled with them" to be a little harsh. :) Gary rey 11-17-2002, 02:55 AM I think it may be good to have another thread group, something like 'Downtime & Uptime Forum' along with 'Web Hosting Forum', 'Dedicated Hosting', etc, so people post it there instead of here. Just an idea. skylab 11-17-2002, 04:41 AM i'm sick of people posting their providers are down everyday when their servers are down for 5 or 10 minutes. mainarea 11-17-2002, 11:59 AM Remember, it's not just the $49/month servers that are affected in outages, it's also the $99 and $199 servers too. Since WHT is hosted on Rackshack's network, no one would be able to post! :D - John C. |
