I for one am sick and tired of all the "MY $1 HOST / DED / CO-LO COMPANY is down"

WHT..time for some policy changes

Am I allowed to second (or third) that thought?

Or at least keep them all in the same thread. There are like 3 thread in the past 3 days about UnitedColo being down.... Keep them in the same thread...

Maybe you should open up this issue in the Suggestions forum? :)

I think someone should just start a UCG is down forum. Once or twice a week we can all post UCG is down even if they are not. I am sure UCG will catch up and make it a valid post.

I don't mind. I like knowing who's down and who's up. It relates to the quality of a vendor.

Maybe someone should setup a separate forum just for issues with UCG?

If there was a post on every time rackshack went down due to emergency network maintenence the forums would be filled with them =)

One of our boxes is up 134 days there...so I am not sure how often you think Rackshack go down but it would be close to hardly ever? :)

Just look in their forums, they've been doing emergency network routing pretty much every day for the past month or so where the network is down for a few minutes a day. It's not a big deal, I'm just poking some fun at them.

Your server having an uptime of xxx number of days does not mean the network is not down ;)
The UCG threads are mainly targetted at network.

The UCG threads are mainly targetted at network.

Around 99.5% from here (our nPulse monitor) in the last calendar month, .2-.3% of which were our own ISP connection.

From Alertra:

Server 1: Activated: 05/02/2002 Outages: 5 Uptime: 99.876%
Server 2: Activated: 05/02/2002 Outages: 5 Uptime: 99.518%
Server 3: Activated: 05/02/2002 Outages: 8 Uptime: 99.687%

All of which have to take into account a few times when we have knocked something over ourselves.

So I still consider "If there was a post on every time rackshack went down due to emergency network maintenence the forums would be filled with them" to be a little harsh. :)

I think it may be good to have another thread group, something like 'Downtime & Uptime Forum' along with 'Web Hosting Forum', 'Dedicated Hosting', etc, so people post it there instead of here. Just an idea.

i'm sick of people posting their providers are down everyday when their servers are down for 5 or 10 minutes.

Remember, it's not just the $49/month servers that are affected in outages, it's also the $99 and $199 servers too.

Actually they wouldn't. Since WHT is hosted on Rackshack's network, no one would be able to post! :D
