Hey guys,

I'm wondering if any of you could help me with a quick couple questions.

This is in regards to writing a business plan, yet it isn't for a web hosting company.

I am wondering how everyone came up with their predicted sales figures, and numbers for a business plan. I don't hardley know what to put down, i was wondering if there are any sites or services for deeper market research, or anyone i could talk with that would be a big help in regards to finding out estimates for this type of thing.

Thanks in advance!

Each industry is different and a lot depends on your target market...

You may want to visit http://www.score.org/

While there you can email someone with experience specifically with the business type and project you are working on. In this case your financial planning.

I emailed one of their counselors about 5 years ago and received a direct and detailed response within 48 hours. I realize that was a long time ago but I have no reason to believe you wouldn't have the same luck now. I've recommend them to others and have not heard any complaints. It's free ;)

A business plan includes many items. I see a lot of books out there trying to cover the entire "How To Write A Business Plan" concept but what I found helped most was obtaining education on each section. When shopping your local Amazon.com, look for specifics such as "Marketing Planing" and "Financial Planing" to compliment your "Business Planning" book.
