I quit using WebHostingRadio after the quality started to die out--You almost have to crank up the sound and listen carefully to what their saying. And no... It's not my speaker system or sound card. ;)

I've never listened before, but is this what it's usually like?

Well, yes. Some of the time (or most) they just goof off and act stupid towards web hosting executives and support team members. After all, they can't talk Webhosting 24/7. :)

But the thing that makes it interesting (and funny) is that they have a habit of pissing of tech support. :D

... And they do say "Um..." "Uh..." alot. :)

Actually, in regards to the current quality.

Its on a 24bit rate which is why it isnt good. These are replays from old shows months ago.

In regards to listeners, when we did our rackspace interview we had about 150 listening at the time and about 50 in the chat room . For rackshack, we had about 80 and about 35 in the chat room and for futurequest, plesk, and hostopia we had about 60 listening.

On thursday when we have DedicatedNow on which is a large post on here, we will probably get about 50-60 listeners change the bit rate to 40kbps and it will sound much better.

jbi...I wasn't talking sound quality. I was talking quality, calling up some support team and being rude, isn't my idea of "quality", is it yours?

Well interactive that is one paticular show that was on fridays.

You show me another hosting radio station that can go ahead and get major CEO's in the hosting industry to do a live interview.

Yah, no doubt we had our fun, but we also did some serious stuff as well. The ceo interviews were interesting and educating. Tune in next thursday and then let me know

Also keep in mind that the so called infotainment calls have been heard by alot of people. From CEO's to listeners, most have said they are extremely funny.

Joe, is there a schedule for WHR somewhere? I'd like to know when shows begin and on what day.

I dont think it would be to funny to those customers that have to wait on hold for a support rep because you guys are having your "fun" with them though..

Joe, so basically it's a show 7 PM EST, every Thursday? This would mean, the show would start at 1AM in the morning GMT time. Thanks for the info, better stock up on the coffee!!

www.hostingchat.net/rackshack.mp3 Kudos to Brian!!!! Ssshhheeeeesssshhhhh

For those who would like WHR to be more informative...I promise you it would be if more people volunteered to help them out in the area. It's certainly not as easy as it sounds :(

I just got done listening to the mp3 of that call.. I had forgotten how funny that call was. I was soooo sick that night. Poor Brian Edge, he kept wondering why everyone was asking him about the call. I said his name cuz I was worried my boss might hear it, but he did anyway and knew it was me by my voice. LOL
