Does anyone here use Web Trends Live on your hosting site? I am considering this to help in my marketing.

If you use it how do you like it? Would you recommend it?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi,

I have used it via another server (so, I didnt host it myself) for a while now.

I must say that the reports are great, although, the there are glitches once in awhile. I think if you can afford it, and need it over the regular WebTrends Analysis version, you should go for it.

Are you considering other web log programs besides Web Trends? I like to know what alternatives there are to WebTrends software.

Used the free version until they switched to the pay versions. It's neat but not cheap ... but if you can afford it .. why not.

I used WebTrends Analysis Suite and it is very detailed. It gives you a lot of info about all the analysis categories like referrer, browsers, page accessed, errors etc. But again it has its price! ;)

Can anyone suggest some other similar programs?

we use web trends enterprise suite, i think thats whats been mentioned.

the software is 2k and worth it if your run online ads

it helped us stop the sport clicking from goto-overture.

it will also tell you depth tracking and paths through your site.

again important if you run onine ad campaigns

good stuff but lots a moola

Hi Andy -

Check out PowerphpLogger at www.phpee.com. It is a free program, and can be invisible to your users. I love it and it gives me all the info I need on where users are going on my site.

Your also welcome to setup a demo account on my site if you just want to try it out. I offer it to my clients, and so far they love it as well: http://www.sms-hosting.com/pphlogger/

Andy - You can either sign up for an account on my site, or signup at the phpee.com site.

Feel free to setup an account, use it, and I'll just delete it afterwards.

Great product though. Supposedly the next version is going to be even more robust.

I guess, I should be a bit more clearer huh?

If you go to our site, www.sms-hosting.com/pphlogger, and look at the bottom, you'll see a Signup link. You signup, the code and the java script will be mailed to you. Simple.

OR, just feel free to pull the entire program from phpee.com, and install it. It's free! You don't like it, uninstall.

PHPlogger is nice ... but their presentation of stats need to be spruced up ... I'm quite overwhelmed by the tons of text that can be returned on the average stats page ... takes longer to digest ... wished they had more charts.

To be honest, that was why I turned away from some of the others. I wanted to LOOK at who my hits are, and where they are coming from on an individual basis. I don't care about the big picture, I care about the little picture. :)

I use sitestats.com and like them. They have a 2 week free demo if you want to check them out. I've used them for about a year or so and have no complaints.
