I'm currently on my work PC and am having loading issues with WHT. The header and the advertisement right under the navbar loads but then the page stops loading. I hit refresh and it takes about 1-2 minutes for the rest of the page to load (sometimes I just minimize the browser and do something else while I wait). I was having the same problem with my netbook on my home connection earlier.
I'm using IE7 on both machines incase that helps.

Hey Everyone,
I have restarted a process and the slow down seems to have stopped on my end. Can anyone else confirm?
Thanks!

If I posted everytime hostingcatalog.com was slowing down the page load to a crawl I would have a higher post count than Aussie Bob. They don't care as long as they get the advertising revenue.
I was going to just leave WHT awhile back because of this but I'm too addicted so I just live with the ridiculously slow page loads more than half the time. Coincidentally, it's loading super fast right now.

This loading issue actually wasn't related to HostingCatalog's ads. This is related to a reverse proxy server I am running that stopped passing requests to the parent server. A simple restart of nginix cleared it up though. I am still investigating it before I put it back into production.
Also I know Aaron Forgue has spent quite a bit of time rewriting the methods that HC does 3rd party ad calls to help speed the site up. HC has grown leaps and bounds in recent years and several of the reporting functions were built for a site of a much smaller size, so they needed to be redesigned.
