You guys should really watch out for a company called liberty names of america! They actually send mail and emails to addresses that they find on whois searches for peoples domains and send the legitimate looking invoices for their domain renewals and steal peoples money!

Yes, I get their stuff constantly. That's why I keep my names private these days.

Nothing new, Domain Registry of America sends you letters in the mail (real snail mail) that look legitimate as well.

They are located in Toronto but mail from Buffalo or Fort Erie.

Actually moving one of my clients back from LNOA today. He got suckered in last year by the official looking invoice.
Not sure how they get around the fact that you have to have the domain unlocked and get a transfer code. They seem very good at what they do: Trick people into buying their "service" at 2X the going rate.
