View Full Version : Problem receiving email via Outlook Express

My server is Raq4
My client suddenly cannot received their email via Outlook Express : password rejected!. But they still open their email via WEBMAIL (we use OpenWebmail 1.7.1), so I thinks password was correct!

My friend tell me this is POP LOCK!

Any body know about this? What is POP Lock? How to solve this problem? How to prevent happen again nexttime?

POP Lock usually happens when two person is trying to access the same mailbox at the same time. Give it about 10 to 20 minutes by not access that mailbox and the pop lock should resolve itself.

Make sure your user is using the correct account name.

Open Webmail lets you use the e-mail address prefix (e.g. 'fred' from fred@thisdomain.org) as well as the unique user account name. Outlook only works with the unique user account name.

Gets me everytime I set up an Outlook account!
