Ok lets say i have a server which is dual processor capable and i wish to add another processor and the server is running linux with cpanel.

Would i just download the new kernel and compile with SMP support? Of couse, but would this mess up cpanel? Anyone done this?

Hm.. I have a 2U, dual processor. I wanna install CPanel, will it be affected? Not sure though, but after reading what you've said.. :rolleyes:

It'll be fine.

Keep your kernel as it is now, just add SMP support.... I don't know why you'd think CPanel would have a fuss with it.

I figured that I'd ask before I go messing with things ya know?

Cpanel is only a script .. and it should work with what ever kernel you're using.
