Well, since I'm new to all of this, how would I go about adding Credit Cards/Visa as an option in the payment gateways?

There are soo many options and nothing that says "Credit Card", or "Visa".

We don't take credit card payments but I'm pretty sure you need to sign up with one of those gateways to accept payments - or alternatively you can take credit cards through a Paypal account.

Maybe somebody can correct me on this. Hope this helps a little :)

Yes, you would need to sign up with someone like WorldPay and configure the WorldPay module in WHMCS with the merchant code they give you.

Alright, thanks. I think I'll be sticking with PayPal for the time being.

paypal website payments pro should allow you to do something like that - I've never tried it though since the pro version isn't free like the standard one - and we've been using it since launching a while back and didn't want to have the extra expenses there.

When you activate and setup one of the built in gateways, there is a field called Visible Name. You put the words "Credit Card" in there and that is what the customer sees displayed.

You need to have a gateway account as well as a merchant account to accept direct credit card.

I use linkpoint to process cards. WHMCS has the option for linkpoint. I simply added my store number and a .pem file which I downloaded from linkpoint and uploaded it to my server. That's all I needed to link payments from WHMCS to my merchant account.

There are plenty of people on here that could suggest a merchant for you.

If your still looking for a Credit Card processor, I would recommend ProtX / SagePay (http://www.sagepay.com/). Used them for awhile, and they were amazing.

They're gateway also worked well with WHMCS.
