AVOID HOSTMATIX.COM AT ALL COSTS!
They are a terrible hosting company I've ever dealt with!
My sites have been down for several hours a week! Support is SLOW, no responses for hours, sometime days!
So I cancelled my account with them and they are NOT REFUNDING my money! Even though they "offer" 30 days money back guarantee! I'm going through my lawyers right now to get our money back.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM, unless you want to loose you money and your current customers if you are a reseller.

lawyers? Is that what peopke call credit card companies now?
Since we have lawyers working in our company why not use them what they are good at since we pay them to do their job?

Just seems easier to pick up a phone and call cc company for chargeback.

flitcher i think he means like a legal team and he will use them just to scare or actually push hosmatix.com to give the refund.
It works and if he has them why not use them... The worst he can do with a CC mechant is charge back.
But if you teach them a lesson with a good legal team it would keep them honest.
Im not saying take them to court over 50 bux but show they are not above the law. ( Only Steven Segal is 'Above the law' ):D
Kind regards

 Why all the host bashing? I'm in no way affiliated w/ hostmatrix or saying what they did was right but com'n. Can't we all just be happy? Nah, I guess that would never happen...:( :stickout: :(

Linux how would you feel if you lost all your customers if the server you were on were down and you could not get support from them.
As a customer i believe they have every right to not bash but say hay there is something wrong here that needs to be fixed.
And my comment about teaching them a lesson is more in the lines if you have it on your website or TOS that you give 30 day refunds then stick to it or be sued.
So relax your hot pants
Kind regards

I have hostmatix, they suck...there is virutally no support, it takes many hours for an answer to a trouble ticket, and when they do answer, its usually canned, and they close the ticket as resolved, when the problem is still there. My subdomains dont work right (its http://subdomain.yourdomain.com) and most the time it doesnt work...I can upload a file to a subdomain, then my buddy goes on it, and cant see the file, but it shows up via http (when using the same logon for that domain). BW meter is still broken...I know its a cpanel issue, but can't they upgrade or give an alternative way to monitor the bandwith??? It just gets old. They have sales staff on MSN/ICQ 24/7 but support seems to be there only several hours per day. No live support, just ticket system or email.
Blah, enuff of a rant....they just charged me for my 2nd month of service a week ago...so I guess I am just gonna use a ton of bw, and move my site soon...wish I knew where I stood with the bw...but one of the trouble tickets, the support guy said not to worry if I went over...so I guess I won't.

No offense. But if you can pay to have a lawyer on retainer or as corporate counsel, then I am sure you can afford more then what you are paying for web hosting at hostmatix. Also, they are in AE. So it would have been harder to collect with one.
Glad to hear you got the cash back.

What ever happened to these guys. They (he) was on these boards posting all over for about a good two months. Now they just disappeared.
I'm with hostmatix, strongly considering not being with hostmatix though...enough said.
