Thats it! i've had enough. I hate you BT!!!. Over the last 6 months the service has gone from good to bad :(.

1) Keep getting invalid username/password most of the time.
2) email is usualy down.

:bawling:

Telia wanted to make some money so they started selling shares. They were selling some of them to the swedish people at a lower price than what they would charge when they hit the stockmarket. A lot of people bought the shares, thinking they'd make a profit... and then the shares lost value, and lost, and lost, and...

So how does everyone get those fat pipes in their house? All Swedish CS players seem to be on T1s for $9.99 including a free computer or something stupid :D

bt aint that bad, plus you think aol is better? whose technology do you think aol use? bts friaco exactly the same with the same radius system. ok you have the aol wan on top but its the same bottom half :). although its nice to be able to get free access from any phone line in the uk for travelling about.

richy difference is aol never does that annoying username password error that most of the uk's stupid dialups do. + aol is fine if you have a decent fone line and use the correct number to dialup

That technique was also used here in The Netherlands about 1.5-2 years ago by WorldOnline ... peopel could buy packs of shares, there were too many people ordering them in advance they did some sort of lotery . .and on day 1 on the stockmarket they dropped from 48 NLG to 11 NLG ... .. nice huh .. ?

BT looks really expensive. Yesterday i saw an ad at a UK site saying it costs something like £17/month for 150 hours of 56K :stickout:

if you can get broadband, then get it.
i hear ntl/blueyonder are good.. but, it depends which area you live in. failing that, try to get adsl.

and failing that, if your looking for a new "unlimited access" isp, i'd advise freeserve. I'm currently using their anytime package, sure, they've had their probs in the fast with busy tones but the service has improved rapidly, i get connected first time now and download speeds are fine. :)

also, check http://www.net4nowt.com for some good info on isp's in the uk.

Why do Swedish people have fast access???

Answer... The governemen is trying to get every one on broadband through cable (like the TV), satellites, adsl or local fiberoptics.

It's a good thing, but most of the Internet is still going through Telia one way or the other.

OMFG you are not going to AOL are you?

AOL is a virus IMHO. I have had two clients in the past that I had to reformat their HDD because AOL would not let go when they switched providers. I can't stand them.

Unfortunately I can't offer any suggestions since I don't know who would be available to you.

512k adsl is fine for my needs :)

Im in the UK and nildram adsl is by far the best. Ive been connected for upto 3 weeks at a time without a disconnect.

www.getadsl.co.uk is the url for you UK'ers after a nice adsl connection (only £22.99 a month)

BT Broadband is fine for me, but god help you if you need support...

I have been on hold with them guys for over an hour at a charge before giving up and putting the phone down.

But i hear they have got better, but i dont want to try the support out again.

Unfortunately, we dont have a cable provider in this area anymore, so we have to go the BT route.
