Since I wrote this it seems like MCHOST might not be responsible for this. We wait to see what they say!

Hello,
In Aspin.com we recieved a bad review from Marc Wyss of McHost saying he had an account and left after a day. Can anybody think why he would do that? He has not signed up in the past week like it says he has.

I personally think it is unfair of him to do that and would rather him talk to me direct if he has a problem with my service.

Maybe he is a competitor?

thats quite unprofessional and it seems out of character of somewhere like mchost to do that.

It is possible he didnt write it. It hasnt been authenticated yet.... which will mean the person didnt reply back with the correct email.

But right now it seems that he has from first impressions.

Im hoping that Aussie Bob. When I have looked around the boards here I cant find anything that would suggest he would do that.

I will see what I can do about it.

You should have done this first... who knows, maybe you wrote the bad review... just saying.. maybe you're looking for publicity (There is no bad publicity)

You are right! I went about it the wrong way. I will apoplogise to him and resolve this and if it turns out it wasnt Marc... I will make a public apology.

I didnt make that post in Aspin... I would have no need to do that. That would be a silly way of running things.

You're also expected to run naked around your neighborhood, screaming, "Marc didn't do it - Marc didn't do it".

No, we don't want photos. :D

Marc might try and trademark the word 'the' and try and charge us all royalties to use it on our sites, but I don't think he'd do that.

Besides, that site is sort of lame in the authentication department. Notice the anonymous reviews?

maybe there was an open proxy on his network or something like that?

Marc might do some stupid things, but I highly doubt this is one of them. ;)

Wow, looks like someone is playing games  I've never reviewed another hosting company in any hosting directory, let alone a negative review. I will contact ASPin.com over email though and cc: you a copy of the email (email me at marc@mchost.com with your email address) to inform them about the false review, ask it to be removed and see if they can give us the IP address. :)

I think ASPin.com and other hosting directories should require email verification for reviews.

Wouldn't you think that if any owner of any hosting company were going to post false bad reviews of competitors, he wouldn't use his real name?
