My customer wants Restart control on His CS server, but because of Security issues i do not want them to have ssh or telnet access, and i have asked around and a lot of people don't give this access but i see some sites that have a web based gui that lets there customer restart the CS server.
Can anyone shead some light on this? What i should do or what i can do???

SeanK there are webbased admin panels available as opensource for hlds servers. These have restart functions aswell as some other cool stuff for your clients to playwith (no telnet,SSH needed for them)

If the whole server is his to use then give him what he needs, if that still doesn't interest you install webmin for him. www.webmin.com

There is a webmin thrid party module for counter strike.
The one on webmin.com seems a bit older, but you can go to the author's website

Thanks for the post but with that the user doesn't have the power to start or stop there server! I need something that will allow my clients to re-start the server with out editing the Amount of clients etc etc.

Hey there SeanK
You know there is a way in linux to create a user that can only run certian commands... I have forgotten how to do it, but I'm sure any LINUX GEEK or GOOGLE can shed some light...
You may consider starting an account called SHUTDOWN which can only run the command 'shutdown' or 'reboot'
You may also look in to a PYTHON SCRIPT... you can write a script and then send people to a web site to reset the server through the web...
Just some ideas!

Only the hlds server commands should be possible :)

Do you mean a full restart, whereby the server (just his port), has crashed completly, or just a restart to force config changes etc?
If its just to force config canges etc, ask him to exit via rcon and the server restarts.
