View Full Version : Looking for good ideas on how to earn from hosting blog.
Andreyfidrya 09-03-2009, 08:36 AM I am just wondering how it is possible to earn from hosting blog. Among all possible methods I know the major once are: affiliate programs, Google adsence, online advertizement, link selling etc. Could you, please, provide any other good ideas to earn from a popular hosting blog? Many thanks in advance.
CreativHost 09-03-2009, 09:01 AM There are a number of places you can find different ideas / literature / suggestions, etc. about exactly what you're asking .. have you tried searching on Google for a start perhaps?
Here's one suggestion for you - http://www.cadengrant.com
Andreyfidrya 09-03-2009, 09:27 AM Yes, I tried and the methods I have found were described above. They are the following ones: affiliate programs, Google adsence, online advertizement, link selling. Nevertheless, thanks for share I find it quite interesting to read. Quite a good post "Top 10 Ways To Make Money From Your Blog". I will consider all thanks in detail. Thanks again.
Andreyfidrya 09-03-2009, 09:37 AM I am just wondering what coaching services may be offered by hosting blog. Also, I don't know how much traffic the blog has to have in order to make Paid Reviews available.
markosolo 09-03-2009, 11:06 AM I think you may find that you will need to be blogging for a while, and be generating quite a lot of traffic before you can expect to be earning off the blog. I have been blogging for a month or two now and don't really expect to see much traffic until after the initial 6 months.
MikeTrike 09-03-2009, 11:17 AM Make a fake top ten web hosts site instead, cram it full of affiliate links. There's plenty of those that make bank on that stuff by pumping up big hosts with lucrative affiliate programs. ;)

That's it - make compelling content people want to read. That's really the trick. There's no more fulfilling way to succeed than through hard work and good word of mouth. And if you come up with some really cool things to say, let us know here! (In the appropriate places of course...)
Content is, as said before, a very important part of it.
Good content means that your readers will come back and talk about your website to their friends, colleagues, etc.
Andreyfidrya 09-03-2009, 12:52 PM Yes, I agree with you guys. Interesting content posted on your blog will help attract more users to a website. But I am looking for good methods to earn from a well-developed and promoted blog. Ok, thanks anyway. I hope that interesting content will help earn more.

Incise your readers to opt into your mailing list by giving them something free. On my hosting blog, I wrote up a mini book on how to start a web hosting company. I then have an exit popup that will display when they are trying to leave my pages.
It will say: Wait! Free ebook on how to start your own web hosting company. Just enter your email below and I will email it to you.
Then from there, you setup your mailing list to do whatever it is you want it to do. You could use it to sell products, or you could use it to send traffic to new posts you add to your blog.
Just make sure you make a news letter that has a lot of cool stuff in it. Don't send your list junk.

layeronline 10-19-2009, 01:20 PM Make sure the content is unique and has high search traffic. You can also look for pay-per-post sites. But don't over do it or google might not like you.

MMMMM... That's a bit naughty. Buy I agree.
Content is KING. Before you will start to make anything you need HUGE visitor numbers. Preferably returning visitors.
angel_ivy 10-21-2009, 03:05 AM Main point is your blog content right? IF you share good information and that will lead to a higher traffic blog site. By then you add in google adsense, affiliate links, clickbanks and start to promote certain product, people will believe in you.
Andreyfidrya 10-22-2009, 07:18 AM Yes, I see the majority of people who have given advices says that content is the most importnat factor for people. I will take this into account. It is clear with content now. Any other ideas?
markosolo 10-22-2009, 08:18 AM Yeah I think you need good content too - not sure if that one has been brought up yet. Good content really is king.
