In this forum when i click on the URL button to insert a hyperlink, a popup box pops up, and it bypass IE8's popup blocker and also bypasses the message, "This website is using a scripted window to ask you for information. If you trust this website, click here to allow scripted windows..."

So how does wht make this insert URL button and popup box bypass popup blockers and IE's security settings? And is it javascript ?

It appears to be a vBulletin thing, I have seen it on other forums too.

I believe it is JavaScript and I too have seen it on other forums so I would say it is not exclusive to WHT ;)

Yes I've also seen this in other forum's too. Sometimes it makes difficulty.
