I believe it, it often takes days to get a support ticket responded to, and their AIM support does not exist.

Hello,

firstly i cant speak for all noc/burst users,
personally i get great technical support from noc
billing is a bit poor but its not that often you need billing support.
also, they are a very large company and you can imagine it would be very busy there at times (especially when there may be network problems), and while this is happening everyone is phoning/IM'ing them at once.

anyway,
here is some AIM names i got in my collection.

BurstNET (best tech there)
BurstNOCSupport
BurstNETSupport
burstnetbill
burstnetbill2
BurstCSM
burstdave

also what "SoftWareRevue" said about them adding new AIM names/support people is true, but i dont have any of them yet :-)

I don't have much luck with Burst support or billing. I have basically given up and put my company in a position NEVER to have to rely on their support.

That is a bit hard to do with billing. I e-mailed them last week and am still waiting on a response. I do believe my next server will be from DedicatedNOW, but I won't have to make that decison for a while.

Andyc,

the best person to contact for billing probs at Noc is Ruth.
which is burstnetbill2 on AIM.

And, I agree with the 'title' of this thread. I've always had helpful, friendly conversation whenever I called.

Yeah, they're not there for a friendly chat. They're working in a high pressure environment and would get stressed to the max etc. I'm sure they don't mean to be rude, it's just the atmosphere etc....:)

Yes... He seems to be in charge of their new DedicatedNow division. They offered great deals recently.

The only polite and helpful person that i talked with at Burst was Matthew. We left burst shortly after he did, for several reasons. I don't have anything good to say about them so i won't say anything. :D

I agree with that. They lost a great employee when Matthew left.

I always enjoyed BurstNET. I was comfortable with their support team. I talk to Darren a lot. When I left and colo'd with Rackforce, I continued chatting with Darren. He's gettin out of BurstNET too. Goin into business for himself.
