Hi,
I'm new to this, and i'm looking for a dedicated server, I just found the sale at nocster
http://www.nocster.com/presale.shtml

With your experience, do you think they're good servers in term of processor (celeron), and memory (only 256MB). I'm thinking about hosting around 30-40 reseller accounts on it

Thanks

I signed up when the halloween special was going on, and have been very pleased with the services provided. My server has been up since the day after they gave it to me, I have cpanel for $19.00 extra and put 11 clients on it already with no issue. I would recommend.

For a full report do a search in the forum

The only thing I really concern is that they use celeron processor and only 256MB memory

Do you guys think I shoud upgrade it?

30 - 40 reseller accounts with how many accounts per reseller? 5 = 200 sites on the server - 256MB ram and what processor? Definately upgrade. I would put 1gb + for 150 websites and depending on whether they use alot of scripts or they are just static sites you may need a processor upgrade.

It really depends on how active the sites are and if they use mysql/php/cgi :)

Why do you say that? Dual 550mhz vs a AMD 1.4 should be a no brainer. The AMD processor should win.

The only problem with the sale is that the HDs on most machines are 9GB SCSIs, and their SCSI upgrade costs are pretty high.

I will use more mysql/php/cgi scripts, so AMD or Intel?

akaize, if your question is directed to what I posted earlier.... I was talking about how many clients to put on the server :)

We will have about 200-300 hosted domain, and about 50 of them will use php/mysql. The monthly bandwith will be less than 100Gb for all of them in total.
