View Full Version : Reseller Club, Fed Up!!
crazylane 08-27-2009, 10:03 AM I like Reseller Club pricing is great but their SuperSite is awful! and their end user interface is horrible!
I just want a simple place where my clients can manage their domain names. I have over 900 domain names with them and management is getting out of control!
Currently the domain name owner has to go to the SuperSite then they get redirected to another another page for management which has links back to the SuperSite to order more domain names, services etc... We already have an order system and do not want to use their SuperSite.
I would like just a simple way for my customers to be able to manage their domains.
Any suggestions? other providers?
netearth 08-27-2009, 10:10 AM You could use something like AWBS or WHMCS, this might make a better "home" for your end users to mange their domains and purchase further products from you.
crazylane 08-27-2009, 10:14 AM We already have billing system that works great for us.
netearth 08-27-2009, 10:48 AM If that is the case, then why not just use the API and create the management options you want?
This will then mean your customers do not need to go to the OderBox etc.
crazylane 08-27-2009, 10:54 AM I think that's what I'll end up doing, my problem is time.
prashant1979 08-27-2009, 10:55 AM You can try connectreseller.com which is currently in beta, it belongs to OwnRegistrar, an ICANN accredited Registrar from India who used logicboxes interface and are now developing their own interface.
crazylane 08-27-2009, 11:01 AM I was happier at opensrs, but do not like their pricing

Thats what most regsitrars using LB says
Hostbuster347 08-27-2009, 02:03 PM Hmmmm.....some pretty harsh criticism of ResellerClub's Supersite....hehe....First off, I dont think its all bad. Crazylane's facing a problem coz he has an order system in place, but from my experience, it provides you with a pretty great option if you're just starting out.:)
My favorite part about it is that you can customize it so that it looks like what you want it to. I agree that it is kinda slow and could be cumbersome for some one who is just looking to buy a domain. But you always have the option of the API if you dont want to use the SuperSite (as mentioned above too). All in all I find the reseller program from resellerclub good enough considering the pricing that they offer and have a decent system in place.
crazylane 08-27-2009, 02:16 PM If you are only selling their products it's okay. Before the Supersite I could order domains for my clients quite easily, now I have to go to the supersite order the domain, then go back to the control panel and finish the transaction, just way to many steps. Now you can only add a header or a footer to the control panel and it links to back to the SuperSite! talk about confusing, at least for my customers. It is horrible system, as the Admin on the account I cannot add a new domain from the control panel, I can renew a domain but not add.
Toeki 08-27-2009, 07:09 PM So what you are saying is that its more troublesome for you because you have to order the domains as a client and then process the domain as the reseller?
Its only a few clients... we use them as one of our registrars and don't see that as a problem.
Hostevery 08-27-2009, 07:20 PM I agree Resellerclub should offer a better way to edit the templates.
You can put in your input at http://feedback.resellerclub.com/
If there are enough votes Resellerclub will surely do something about it.

I believe they really want to push their SuperSite, which is of no use to me what so ever. I do not care to use any service but domain names.
Varun Motasha 08-28-2009, 03:20 AM As Hostevery mentioned above, you should put your suggestions on their feedback page. They actually implement the ones with the highest votes there..
ashishy 08-28-2009, 08:46 AM If you have your own system, then go for the API.
In terms of SuperSite, I believe they should have different themes to choose from.
The look of the home page of the SuperSite was changed couple of months back and made better.

Do you mean to say all registrars using LogicBoxes want to part away with it and develop their own platforms instead?
