Hey every one,

What type of names would you recommend some one starting a hosting company use?

Also, why did you pick the name you decided to use?

Anyway, it's always good to be as creative as possible when deciding on your company's name. Perhaps you can try to find a specific aspect that may make your services unique compared to any other and have your company's name based on that. Good luck ;)

Personally I'm not too fond of alpha-numeric names for hosting companies, but you will need something clever, relevant and easy to remember. It's getting harder to find good hosting names, as nowadays they're mostly taken.

something short, sweet, and simple. they are hard to find these days, but it's worth your time checking.

also, don't forget to check out the non-.com tld's - using a country-code tld is something to consider - especially if the .com is taken by domain squatters instead of your competition.


also try and grab a hyphenated version of your name for SEO purposes (eg: we have ramhost.us as a main domain with ram-host.com to make search engines happy since they are biased to prefer .com)

Try something unique how about

terahost . com .net .etc...
YOUR INITIALSHOSTING . com .net .etc...

AltechHosting.com comeon that is not unique... So close to Atechosting.com

Not always necessary though.. would help for SEO but unless you got a good cash flow you would not get top ranking...

A just some with no relation to "host" in the name, And 100% of them are successful company's.

Yea.. iam with verdictjosh. Singlehop, Jaguar PC, fatcow..etc no relation with host in name.. ;)

Keep it short and its should simple and easy for audience to remember.
