Hi all,

I registered my domain agc-it . com in Feb 2009 and although it was working fine for the first 2 months I received hickups and downtime on my website quite often. When I tried to contact support the guy was not "available". After multiple times of contacting the hoster both via email / facebook and phone I decided I had to move my domain name somewhere else. Now I configured a dyndns account and requested the hoster to move my domain over to the dyndns name servers but he doesn't reply , doesn't answer calls he just disappeared but finds time to play games on facebook. I really want to keep my domain because i spend a good amount on marketing etc etc already.

Any ideas what i can do ? When i try to transfer dyndns says that the domain is locked.

The Hoster is : Aymane Remmal
The Hosting company : monhosteur
The Domain name is : agc-it. com

My site has been down for the last two days now and I am really stuck..

Any advice is very much appreciated

Did you register the domain yourself? If so, you will be able to change the DNS settings in your registrars control panel.

This doesn't look good. It looks like your host listed itself as the registrant of the domain.

agc-it.com seems to have been registered via http://www.dynadot.com. Contact them, and see what they advise. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

I did try to do a dns transfer but the system is in french and although it was succesful it still didn't work

I've looked up your domains whois, and I would say it appears your host registered this domain on your behalf correct? I believe they have registered it in their name:

Registrant:
Mon Hosteur

residence Moulay Driss Al Azhar
FES, FES 30000
Morocco

Administrative Contact:

I suspect you will have a hard time attempting to obtain the rights to your domain. If you do, it will probably be at a unreasonable ransom. The best I could suggest is to use this information above to contact them directly and attempt to resolve the issue.

Best of luck, I hope it works out for you.

dynadot has an API for registrations, but the API doesn't allow different whois details.

It may be simply that they have to change them manually and they didn't

Monhosteur site says they give Administration panel for domains, look for the unlock option and auth code retrieval.

You may also open an account at dynadot, if you can contact monhosteur you may ask him to move the domain to your dynadot account, so you can manage it yourself.

Well there was a cpanel which normally i could connect too but that doesnt allow logins either anymore..

I don't think DynaDot will help seeing as the domain is registered to monhosteur. You'll need to get that changed back to your name first. Then explain to DynaDot that it appears monhosteur appears to be going out of business, control panel no longer working etc, and can they push the domain into your account. You'll need documentation like invoices etc. How on earth did you hookup with such a shady outfit? Personally, I think you'd save quite a headache by simply starting over with a new domain.

Contact DynaDot. Report the guy for invalid whois since the phones do not work. He will have his domain offline for good and maybe his account gone. Tell DynaDot that you want your domain too. ;)

Hang ups probably mean that he scammed you. He did not say that you have the wrong number or that person is not here?

Hello,

There is nothing we can really do to assist you right now. The domain appears to be registered in your Hosting companies name.

Unless you can get him to transfer the domain into your control, your next best option is to wait for the domain expires. About 30 days after it expires, we will try to auction the domain and you might be able to get it that way.

Classic, so they dont even wait the full 40 odd days grace period and release, you have to "win an auction"
