Do I need a cert if I use paypal? fionix 08-13-2009, 12:49 PM Both are a perfect combination, only thing is that if you don't have any expirience with VirtuMart it can be difficult to manage / install. If you use PayPal you don't need any SSL certificate. not-online 09-08-2009, 05:50 AM Why Virtuemart? It is very good and getting better all the time. If you like osCommerce, there is an integrated Joomla/osCommerce clone called OpenFreeway. Very powerful! markhard 09-09-2009, 01:12 PM it's relatively easy to use and setup. yes, you can use paypal as payment method and you don't need SSL certificate as payment will be done on paypal page. but it will be a benefit to have SSL to secure your website (such as on joomla login page, member page, etc.) it will add trust to your online shop. eLief 09-09-2009, 03:12 PM Check out MageBridge - it's a cross between Magento Commerce and Joomla, doesn't get much better ;). DESK[l]ANCE 09-22-2009, 11:19 AM A good and strong combination would be Joomla with Magento Commerce, using the MageBridge as eLief! mentioned. ^AM |
