I think I've found a host that I'd like to try. Does anyone know if AlphaOmegaHosting is a good service? They seem really friendly, and their customers on their support forums seem to be really happy with them. What do you think?

Looks like I won't be able to work with them =\ It's quite funny actually ... they're Christian owned ... and my site has plenty reference to Christianity ... except, I'm Anti-Christian. Oopsie! Guess I have to keep looking!

It's a long explanation. I just have an incredibly strong dislike towards Christianity (and basically any other organized religion), due to my support for Homosexuality, Women's Rights, and my own experiences with Churches. I'm a liberal, and I voice my opinion out greatly on my site with no shame. I simply can't work with AlphaOmega, for that reason. From their tone, it doesn't sound like they want me anyway. So I need to find someone who is going to be "okay", with what I have to say.

I'm not sure, I had them look at mine. Someone suggested I do that before I sign up, because he was an Activist too and had trouble with that before. Looks like I'm gonna have a lot of trouble finding someone ... I'm thinking about giving up. Hell, even my freeserver hasn't told me anything about my content - I really don't see a problem.

Anyone reading this thread ought to know that AlphaOmegaHost goes beyond their faith in delivering excellent service and hosting plans and should not be limited to their views in their walk with their 'religion'. :D

I'm hosted on alphaomega and haven't had a problem since signing up. Only time I ever talk to Danny is just to say hi. I just haven't had any issues. But he's always there, I've been with many others and can finally say I found a home.

Sounds like you need to email alphaomega and just ask them.

Women's rights? I'm all for them too. I just think we need separate checkout lines and roads for them. :)

You make it sound like I'm not choosing them purposely because of their views. They're the ones who seemed so friendly and eager to help until they saw my website, then never got back to me, even after I wrote them saying "thanks". I no doubt think they sound great, but it's obvious it wouldn't work if I signed up.

Actually, enhancedhost.com, was very friendly AND had no problem with my content - they said as long as it's legal - it's fine. I might go with them if I end up choosing - I'm really not sure anymore - everything is too much of a hassle. My freeserver is awesome, I might stick with it for awhile.

You're probably right. You might try an adult host. They shouldn't have a problem with your content.

I did review Hopeless18's site and it was apparent that she had as she said in her own words "strong dislike towards Christianity". I felt it appropriate that as she was open about her views and what she put on her website, that I should be open and point her towards where we had posted our statement of belief. My exact words are stated below:

I reviewed your site and I would like to recommend that you review our about us page to get a little more information about our company before we proceed with this venture.

I will post the end of Hopeless18's reply below as I didn't feel like there was any reason to continue. (Hopeless18 if you don't want this included, send me a message and I will remove it)

There are many people out there that want to push their views on people to just make a point and are honestly looking to cause trouble. Hopeless18 is NOT one of these people, she is honestly looking for a host and I hope she finds one that is compatible with her beliefs. I appreciate her honesty and wish her the best of luck.

For the record, we don't review our client's content before allowing them to post it. We do host a number of pages that support different religions and I don't have a problem with that. I as owner of the servers choose to avoid hosting some material such as pornography and other things that might cause problems or that may be offensive. The few instances were there have been disagreements of beliefs, the customers (or perspective customers) usually brought it to my attention prior to hosting just as Hopeless18 did.

AlphaOmegaHosting is great, i have to sites hosted with them:D since june and july, i would highly recommend you guys sign up with them :cool:
