steve0243 11-11-2002, 07:58 PM Hi Webtech
can bandwidth be purchased in smaller quantities than 1 mbit?
say half a mbit (160 gb) for a 1u server at $50 monthly, bringing the monthly total to $75 ?
Thanks
Steve

Fremont Servers 11-11-2002, 08:54 PM Webtech,
Few questions:
1. If I get a full rack, do I have full access to the rack and add people to access my rack?
2. How much do you charge for additional 1Mbit, and is there a limit?
3. Will it be on 10mbps or 100mbps port?
4. How do you charge for overage bandwidth, and at what increment and price?

1. We usually dont allow this but email me and we can talk about this.
2. Each 1Mbit is $100 unless its over 25mbit and then its discounted....
3. Upto 10Mbit will be on a 10mbit port, anythign above is burstable to 100mbit
4. Bandwidth is 95 percentile.
I hope this answenrs some of your questions

VapoRub 11-12-2002, 02:10 AM What kind of transit providers does HE.NET offer?
AlaskanWolf 11-12-2002, 03:53 AM You can check out he.net for any information on their network
golfer 11-12-2002, 01:30 PM What kind of support does this come with? Let's say I need someone to do a software install, or the server requires a manual reboot.
webtech 11-12-2002, 01:53 PM As with any colo, we will do manual reboots or give you a remote reboot port but as far as software installation is concerned it is billed at $100/hour
webtech 11-12-2002, 03:21 PM To add on to this deal, I have talked to the owner of Webby Technologies and he has agreed to offering a 99.8% or 99.9% uptime SLA! This will knock all competition over as you know HE has 100% almost all the time. Within the month we will be restructuring the network to get 2 seperate feed's from HE onto 2 different switchs and 2 different power grids so that we have 100% redundancy to HE's Nationwide backbone.
StarGate 11-12-2002, 03:52 PM Hi WebTech,

NocSol, Thanks.... I have worked very hard and am in close contact with the guys and gals from HE HeadQuarters to get the best pricing available to anyone that wants it through the Webby Technologies switch.
i have to agree, this is an amazing deal.
I am just curious, do you require a minimal contract of any kind with your clients?
webtech 11-12-2002, 04:04 PM We are talking about 3 month, 6 month, 12 month contracts for colo.... HE had us sign a years contract for all the cabinets and all the bandwidth that we just purchased. As far as you signing a contract saying you want 1mbit and then needing 5 or 6, if you need 5 or 6 we will let you have it but you will be required to commit to atleast 1 or whatever you sign for.
lisllc 11-12-2002, 08:25 PM Do you have an IP of one of your boxes we can test to?
