Has anybody had problems installing a fresh new CPanel 5.0 liscense on a fresh new server with Red Hat 8.0? Reason I ask is that I have had some problems and a few people I asked have reported the same things.

In WHM it lists:

apache (1.3.27 (Unix)) - Failed
bind (9.2.1) - Failed
Server Load 0.00 (1 cpu)
Memory Used 3.4 %
Swap 1 %
Disk hdb6 (/) 40 %
Disk hdb1 (/boot) 10 %
Disk hdb8 (/home) 1 %
Disk hdb5 (/tmp) 4 %
Disk hdb2 (/usr) 27 %
Disk hdb3 (/var)

It doesn't list anything else like:

exim (exim-3.36-21_cpanel_antivirus)
imap
interchange
mysql (3.23.53a)
proftpd (1.2.4)
syslogd
webmail
ftpd

I tried removing/reinstalling/updating RPM's but that didn't help.

Thanks,
Alec

Are those other processes running (use "ps aux" to find out)? Try using /scripts/upcp to upgrade and see if that helps. The wrong version of the CPanel installer may also have been installed, which in that case will require you to reinstall CPanel (make sure you get cpanel-redhat8.0-install.sea from layer1.cpanel.net).
