Iam a verified business member of paypal since 5+ years from India.
recently my credit cards were due for renewal and i got the renewed ones from bank.

now when i tried editing the expiry date and cvv, paypal shows card has been denied by bank, new Card is valid and works fine on swipe machines i used recently. Paid few bills online at Indian merchants and it was smooth with no warnings.

This Card has enough balance.
card is mastercard and is registered for mastercard securecode.
Paypal says its your bank declining the verification fee we charge when you edit or add a new card.

Bank has no idea whats wrong

Recently RBI did introduced the mandatory usage of "verified by visa" and "mastercard securecode" is it due to this ?

my other card which was renewed/upgraded and was visa one went supersmooth on paypal, but i have lots of payments to make which one card cannot digest.

anybody else having similar problem ? :confused:

Have you tried completly deleating the card, and adding it again rather than editing the current card?

Have you spoken to your bank and asked if PayPal are even trying to do a preauth and drop on your account? They should be able to tell.

Yes, I've already removed the card, now I can't add the same card as the Auth. Payment is not getting authorized.
tried this for few days, thinking if its a temp. outage somewhere.

I've contacted bank customer care, and dropped full details on their e-mail as requested, lets see if they come up with some solution, I think somehow paypal is banned on this card, however account history would show them how extensively the card is used at paypal and always been paid on time.
