I know this sounds like a stupid question but I have to ask. Is it any faster when uploading/downloading files to enter "ftp.domain.com" as opposed to just "domain.com" as the hostname in an FTP client?

And actually, the hostname is only used when making a connection to the FTP server, not when uploading or downloading.
