It'll be about that long of a drive, should have flown into reagan. It's worth the hassle to be able to fly in on Virgin instead of .. well any other carrier that flies to DC from SF Alex 08-08-2009, 02:22 PM Yeah its going to be atleast 40 minutes drive and closer to an hour with traffic. Depends when you are getting in. The Dulles airport has a private access road that leads to the capital beltway (I-495), so traffic from the airport to the beltway shouldn't be that bad. The beltway though... that's hit or miss. Alex hostechsupport 08-08-2009, 06:16 PM Anyone landing at airport by 3 pm or 4 pm ? If we have few arriving at same time may be we can get a private taxi and reach their early then we expect.I will be reaching on 9th by 3 pm. I finally gave up and turned around. andy18 08-10-2009, 07:19 AM Taxi took us 40 minutes and was $65.. hmm.. that's bad for us as we took the shuttle bus and cost us $85 for 2 person.. our first visit to Washington..
