For some reason when I search for "worldwebhosters", or even "worldweb" here I'm not finding anything, yet I know that there should be hits because I've seen the messages. Anyway, from their home page the service sounds good and is one of the least expensive I've seen. Can anyone tell me any pro's or con's of this service?

TIA, Bill

hiho

seems you've made your decision, but i'll put in my 2c:

i went with them because i needed a cheap account - which is what i got.

support is indeed lousy - i've sent the same email 3 times to them, with no reply for way too long. still waiting, after a month or so actually.

sendmail and apache are regularly down.

crap

I also tried searching for it, and no luck.

Most of the time servercentral is okay, but lately tech support has been a pain. I figure if I'm going to get hit or miss tech support, I should switch to something cheaper. I rarely use tech support anyway.

I was thinking of worldwebhoster for the same reasons you mentioned. I'd rather pay $165 for life than $170 a year.

When I asked worldwebhoster some questions on Friday, they responded in minutes.

I don't know anything about them though, so I've been hunting around.

Are there any good and cheap hosts?

Well for a lack of a better word, they're "GARBAGE" I wouldn't bother signing up with them, their Tech support is crap, they don't seem to take their customers requests/problems seriously.

I mean just from reading this topic alone, I can clearly see that other people have been pulling their hair out in regards to getting a reply from them.

It's probably a bunch of teenagers running this from their garage. They're just out to make a buck, and care less for their customers.

My friend and I have a reseller package with them (hey, they were cheap). We're having problems getting cgi scripts running with them, no cgi scripts seem to work. Also as of late, my Plesk Reseller panel DOES NOT work, it just goes to a dead page, YET, the sites I created are up and running and their Plesk panels work, so I find this very odd.

If they don't reply soon, I'm gonna start blasting them in an email and tell them if they dare try to do any renewal, I'll sue them.

Anyway, on a more lighter topic, does anyone know a CHEAP affordable reseller package? I'm talking dirt cheap, the sites I host aren't exactly any HUGE corporate stuff, just a few personal sites people want up. So I don't need gigaquads of space and trillion megabytes of bandwidth, just something small, and reasonable which will allow me to create a few domains for people.
