HTTP404 08-05-2009, 09:21 AM We want customers to be able to call us, and rather than just answering each call we want the calls to go to different locations, i.e me at our head office, our support team at their location.
Any ideas?
I was looking at ringcentral, any opinions?

You may want to take a look at AsteriskNOW (http://www.AsteriskNow.Org/). We just made the switch from a standard
PBX system and just love it. Very flexible, easy to forward calls.
It does require a little setup and it runs on CENTOS, a version of RedHat Linux -- if you have someone comfortable with Linux you may really like it. Very strong user community.
HTTP404 08-06-2009, 02:33 PM We're looking for something complete, with an incoming number.
thebook 08-07-2009, 07:08 AM Not sure what you mean by complete. AsteriskNow will do all that,
give you caller id, it can even put a special intro on the phone call
before forwarding it to you.
The nice thing about is that it's FREE to just tryout. You can download
a bootable CD and if you have a spare PC and someone comfortable with
Linux -- you can have it up & running in a few hours.
HTTP404 08-07-2009, 08:05 AM Yeah, What I mean is something virtual, a complete system, not running my own software, etc
futurehosting 08-07-2009, 11:08 AM ringcentral.com, onsip.com, and virtualpbx.com offer this
CymraegWalesHosting 08-07-2009, 01:27 PM We currently do this for our selves. Its great. Find a VPS which has a trixbox disk image. Get a load of SIP phones. Get a few incoming numbers from somewhere like DIDX. Get a out going trunk with someone like voipstunt and then just configure the music on hold, where you want the phones to ring while someone is in the queue etc etc..
Probably will not cost you more than $30-40's/month
Best,
HTTP404 08-07-2009, 02:04 PM Probably will not cost you more than $30-40's/month
Why would I do that, waste all my time etc, when ringcentral is a fraction of the cost?
CymraegWalesHosting 08-07-2009, 02:06 PM I prefer to have something where i can completely control everything.
Also because we have so many different numbers, it actually works out better for us.
Best,
HTTP404 08-07-2009, 02:10 PM Yeah well, I want something thats going to be reliable, somethign that I dont have to waste my time configuring etc, and most of all highspeed, think I might choose ringcentral afterall,
CymraegWalesHosting 08-07-2009, 02:12 PM Have you ever used trixbox? Its very fast and very easy to use.
But it looks like your mind is set on ring central.
HTTP404 08-07-2009, 02:30 PM My minds not set, I really dont want to setup the system myself, or manage it myself.
-Edward- 08-07-2009, 05:34 PM Take a look at Gradwell.net or even use Skype.
Hey
800pbx.com is definitely feature-rich :)
HTTP404 08-07-2009, 06:35 PM ideally gotta be UK based
starpeople 08-07-2009, 06:36 PM 800pbx definitely takes it to the next level with voice automation.
With their beta - you can design your phone system (drag and drop, connect) just as frontpage tool for website.
Disclosure - I am a developer building phone systems using their platform but seriously, I love their beta. Too ahead of the crowd.

So do you work for 800 pbx?
tickedon 08-25-2009, 03:23 PM Gradwell - gradwell.net - are who I use. UK based, their centrex package is fully featured. Reasonable prices as well (although the setup fee is a bit annoying).
People can be anywhere - I'm in the UK with colleagues in the USA - all on the same account, so it's great for dialling internally free of charge :) They can supply different numbers as well, I've got 2 UK and 1 USA number on my account.
NetwireJohn 09-01-2009, 05:06 PM I second onsip.com
HTTP404 09-01-2009, 05:56 PM Okay thanks for all your reccomendations
