This server is allready up and runing all that needs seting up is the software such as apache etc and if you want cpanel installed. So it can be ready to go very shortly.

The server is located in Miami, Florida at a state of the art, carrier-grade datacenter. If you would like to test the conection speed to the server the ip is 64.83.113.88. So you can do a ping test even though this isnt allways the best method to test speed because a lot can hapen between you and the dc were the server is located.

If you are interested in this please feel free to send me an email at sales@hostareus.com or i can be reached at colin_kelly9@hotmail.com on msn messenger.

Why is everyone colo-ing with wholesalebandwidth these days? Especially since their entire IP range is listed in spews; not good for email!

well there is a reason for that then. We are curently renting some space at atwebhost for our servers. It seems they havent switched over the bandwidth to the new providers yet wich are Aleron and Internap. I put those instead of cogent because thats what will be the providers soon.

You should mention that, as well as a timeframe the switch will happen. I don't want to go into the reason why you didn't. But we wouldn't want some name calling. =) It's for your own sake.

Hi,

Just to clarify since this is related to our bandwidth, our Aleron feed is in Verio is in, Internap is for Q1 of 2003. And those traceroutes go through Aleron and the last hop of our traces is Cogent, which makes absolutely no difference.

Traceroute from datapipe:

traceroute to 64.83.110.30 (64.83.110.30): 1-30 hops, 38 byte packets
1 vlan405.dist1-1.ewr.datapipe.net (64.106.131.210) 79.4 ms 208 ms 1.32 ms
2 core2.ewr.datapipe.net (64.106.128.18) 0.288 ms (ttl=253!) 0.269 ms (ttl=253!) 0.276 ms (ttl=253!)
3 msfc1-colo24.ewr.datapipe.net (63.146.101.10) 0.363 ms 0.312 ms 0.345 ms
4 cntr-01.ewr.qwest.net (63.146.100.65) 0.298 ms 0.264 ms 0.201 ms
5 ewr-core-01.inet.qwest.net (205.171.17.145) 0.346 ms (ttl=250!) 0.375 ms (ttl=250!) 0.428 ms (ttl=250!)
6 dca-core-03.inet.qwest.net (205.171.5.17) 4.44 ms (ttl=248!) 4.41 ms (ttl=248!) 4.42 ms (ttl=248!)
7 dcp-brdr-01.inet.qwest.net (205.171.209.50) 6.63 ms (ttl=248!) 6.34 ms (ttl=248!) 6.11 ms (ttl=248!)
aleron--> 8 205.198.1.53 (205.198.1.53) 5.84 ms (ttl=247!) 5.96 ms (ttl=247!) 6.09 ms (ttl=247!)
aleron--> 9 205.198.4.40 (205.198.4.40) 32.3 ms (ttl=244!) 32.2 ms (ttl=244!) 32.2 ms (ttl=244!)
aleron--> 10 205.198.4.130 (205.198.4.130) 32.6 ms (ttl=244!) 32.8 ms (ttl=244!) 32.7 ms (ttl=244!)
11 NetFree.demarc.cogentco.com (38.112.0.170) 34.4 ms (ttl=242!) 34.4 ms (ttl=242!) 34.2 ms (ttl=242!)
12 64.83.110.30 (64.83.110.30) 35.7 ms (ttl=114!) 35.2 ms (ttl=114!) 34.5 ms (ttl=114!)

And as far as the spews issue goes, we're working to get WholesaleBandwidth listed off spews. And just FYI- we dont colocate with WHB, they just provide some of our upstream and most of IPs until we we get our own /19 from Arin (since they require 8 /24's minimum before issuing us our own block).

Thanks,
Ashar.
