Hi,
while FDC were on cogent, my server was having around 5% packet loss. I tought that with the new Yipes connection, those packet loss would have disapeared.

For about 1 week after the new Yipes connection, I had no packet loss but now it seems that depending on the time of the day, I'm getting from 0 to 10% packet loss.

I sent them 2 emails about it and they seems to ignore them because my other support requests are answered quickly.

I was wondering, is it just the part of the network my server is on or is everybody getting packet loss ?

Also, when I ping their router, I don't get any packet loss so could it be that they use poor network hardware ?

Thank you.

Also, what do you think of the free 5 days they offer for the 5 days of downtime ?

So that's what they're going to do... Where did you find this info? I haven't seen anything yet...

Hmm, perhaps your emails were in some packets that got lost? :)

LOL, that definitely would be funny.

Anyways, go read bummer's post in the other FDC thread. They are building a new datacenter which will be ready in January so hopefully your problems will be fixed by then ;)

I emailed them and after I emailed Petr directly because I was not happy with those 5 days.

I guess I'll be gone by then. I had this server for 6 months and I didn't do anything with it yet because I always had some technicals problems.
