I have a customer who requested a custom hosting plan that would allow adult content that has been with me for about a month now. My question is when you go to there site there is not one of those "Click here to agree your 18" type of splash pages it just jumps right into the nudity right away. My question is do any of you know if there is a law that requires that page to be there? I have have not really spoke with the customer yet but I was to have something to back me up if there is anything. I think all adult type sites should have this basically to protect myself and the customer from any type of legal action and such.

No, I dount there are any laws that require a "click to agree you are of a legal age".

In Australia there is legislation in place that forbids certain classifications to be hosted locally, and stipulates that other classifications be preceded with an age verification system, but no laws.

Do what we do...

Stipulate in your AUP or Terms & Conditions that there needs to be an age verification system in place and if not applicable or they can't then at least a warning intro to site visitors that there is adult content and they need to be over xx age to view the site.

If site owner doesn't agree to that then he/she/they can host elsewhere. Remember it's your business hosting...and as a host you have to set some ground rules
