hichkas 07-25-2009, 03:26 AM Hi
im install XEN in DEBIAN for now just need install hyperVM
im run this command:
sh ./hypervm-install-master.sh --virtualization-type=xen
after show this error:
You at least need yum installed for this to work...
how i can solve thats problem?
HyperVM is EOL, the owner/sole developer commited suicide and the future of the product is currently unknown. I would suggest you use something else while you can rather then even start using HyperVM.
hichkas 07-25-2009, 03:33 AM did you have suggest ?
did you know diffrent control panel like hyperVM work with XEN ?
Check this topic out, it containts a full list of alternatives and discussion about them: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=868318

Adrian Andreias 07-25-2009, 05:11 AM how install HyperVM?
Don't :D
Check out http://www.fluidvm.com/.
Not sure how good it is, never used it. We've implemented out own virtualization control panel.
hichkas 07-25-2009, 05:15 AM fluidvm its like hyperVM ? ( resource limitation )
and create windows/linux vms?
w4Net 07-26-2009, 07:29 AM Have a read on the LxLabs forums, HyperVM has gone open source and they have secured the new developers for the software. Nearly everything has been moved to the new servers.
Here some reading:

This link (http://www.google.co.uk/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&q=install+yum+on+debian&meta=&btnG=Google+Search) will give you a head start on how to do that.
But as others have said, don't. For a reason, search for vaserv on here, and read the monster thread about their compromise and keep in mind that HyperVM played a part in that.
hichkas 07-26-2009, 11:52 AM did hypervm install on debian ?
DephNet[Paul] 07-26-2009, 12:30 PM did hypervm install on debian ?Why do you insist on installing HyperVM?
darkeden 07-26-2009, 12:39 PM ;6306355']Why do you insist on installing HyperVM?
I think its pointless now we gave him reccomendations and he has just ignored us. There was a link given to him on how to install yum and he has not followed it.
hichkas 07-26-2009, 02:36 PM you where reccomended not to do it yet your doing it anyways? Well do you have yum installed?
Thanks darkeden for help me

:agree:
hichkas 07-27-2009, 04:26 AM still we cant install hyperVM in DEBIAN
iHubNet 07-27-2009, 06:22 AM Looks like hypervm is going to OpenSource... and seems like consortium memebers are organizing and waiting for the source code to decide what kind of open source license.. check http://forum.lxcenter.org
hichkas 07-27-2009, 01:32 PM now :

near 3 hr is down..
Dave Parish 07-27-2009, 01:37 PM I would go with windows hyper-v ftw. It does linux and windows (no multi core on 32bit rh kernels yet) and you can get something like dotnetpael for an enduser control panel and bandwidth metereing plus all of your separate windows licensing is taken care of.

hichkas 07-27-2009, 04:11 PM i want good control panel for XEN
can manage resource limitation
Debian support
reebock 07-27-2009, 04:25 PM I have gone with vePortal (http://www.veportal.com/) which even though is relatively new and supports only OpenVZ at the present time will be adding Xen support in the near future.
So far Im very happy with its support and small footprint to my server.
I do realise you are looking for Xen control panel right now but keep an eye out for vePortal development while waiting for HyperVM to be sorted out.
