This is like asking the question (Are you a load barring animal) in relationship to the Windows operating system, or a cow.

ChickenSteak

I knew what he was talking about. Must be because I have 2 computers running Linux. I'm still lost when it comes to understanding the inner workings of it. And, I wish there was more software available for it so I could dump Windows forever. Or, maybe there is and I'm not looking in the right places?

Long live the Penguin!

Lamont perhaps us penguin's can help :D. What kind of software would you be reffering to when you say there's not enough. Also you can run windows simulation on linux (one I believe is called wine, I haven't much experience with it) and it will allow you to run windows programs on linux.

The topic subject at hand wasn't a bad topic, but how you presented it in your post made it seem worthless.

ChickenSteak

Perhaps to you, but I doubt your a linux user.

You have to admit that that was a very vague post. It could have meant many things, so you could have worded it so that others that don't use Linux would know what you were talking about.

I thought it was funny. Far better than a lot of headlines you see here.

Chickensteak,
My biggest problem is my kid (18) who is somewhat computerphobic as it is. I finally got him moved from MS Office to Open Office (First step). But, he also uses Photoshop and Print Shop to do fliers for his company(www.bustedhip.com) and band (www.clevereddie.com). Other than that it's all done online and my only problem there is the ugly fonts in Mozilla.

I also am not real good at installing software in Linux yet :cartman:

If you have suggestions or tips, I'll listen. :stickout:

Yup, I use Red Hat at home, as well as Windows. Even have a Mac here in the office...someplace.

We have had penguins running around here for quite a while, although they are misteriously turning into little red devils!
