View Full Version : Hostopia's plans... do they make sense?

just reviewed hostopia.com. I think it's a great concept of combining windows and unix features. I noticed that Hostopia itself is now selling shared hosting. They used to refer people to bluegenesis.com.

I don't understand hostopia's shared plans, though. You only get the Windows features if you go with the more expensive plans. IOW, to get more features, you have to keep going to the next plan which gets quite expensive. I think plans should only increase if for additional space and transfer; and perhaps slowly for additional features.

Sorry about the color. I just had to try it.

Heh, nice color changing your doing there (red to pink to purple ;) ).

I would try to look into this if it didn't take forever to find their hosting page. Quite frankily, it shouldn't be that hard to find their shared hosting page (and I still haven't found it). Sorry for getting off topic, but I just had to mention this.

If you can link me to their hosting page, then maybe I could check out what your talking about. :stickout:

(Or maybe it's just late...)

Here ya go!

...but you are right. That's another problem. Finding the pricing of their plans. Very confusing webpage set-up they have there.

This is not true.

Well, I am pretty sure they use actual licenses from MS and CF, etc.. :) Those are not too cheap. Doesn't make sense to offer that in basic plans. Unlike other host who use pirated MS and CF licenses (seen it before), they are legit. Being legit cost money.

If thought I was at the wrong site at first; I had no clue they were selling hosting.

(BTW, this is my form of constructive criticism. ;) )

These prices are for Hostopia Partener's. This would be at the isp level.
These are what each feature costs you as a Partener, and a suggested retail price for you to pass on to your customers.

Honestly if you are considering Hostopia ... give them a call. Their sales people and Network support are First Rate.
