View Full Version : Which Reseller
matt91 07-23-2009, 05:36 AM Hi
I'm looking for a cpanel reseller with the following requirements:
- Around 15GB space
- Fast & good uptime
- Reasonable pings to the UK
- SSH Access
- Good reputation
- Allows overselling
- Will pay around $20/month
Currently I have the following in mind:
- Reseller Zoom - reviews seem to be hit and miss but well established
- Aquarius Storage - Not sure about SSH, not as well established, but good reviews so far.
- Hawkhost
- Crucial Paradigm
Struggling on who to choose, or are there any others which are worth looking at?
Thanks, Matt.
IGXHost 07-23-2009, 06:05 AM Sounds like you're on the right track with your budget for those requirements. Hawkhost and Aquarius are definitely active here on WHT and has quite a few positive reviews.
rumsfo 07-23-2009, 07:27 AM You have good number of the companies to review. Now I assume you need to do some research for their reviews right here. Just do search for the domain names of the companies and I'm sure you will be able to find some
SamCD 07-23-2009, 09:38 AM Out of those, I'd recommend looking at HawkHost, they're a great host.

Do you have an account with them?

We host our offsite status blog on there, www.clandrive.net
odishahost 07-24-2009, 07:25 PM Resellerzoom is good for end-user support as well.

There are several hosts that should meet your requirements. Most hosts will permit SSH access as long as justification is provided.
-Edward- 07-24-2009, 07:48 PM I used ResellerZoom a long time ago, the service was pretty reliable.
If you want UK/Connections to UK then checkout GeekSRV.net or iFuseHosting.com :)
The-Pixel 07-24-2009, 08:02 PM I'm very impressed it seems you have done your homework. With reviews on WHT its hard to say if you should base your choice around that. Sometimes in situations the best way to learn is to try. Meaning... You may just need to try a web hosting company and if they don't work out refer back to your list of other web hosting companies. Best of luck to you!
matt91 07-25-2009, 05:38 AM Thank you for your help.
I decided to go with Hawkhost and so far I'm very impressed. They enabled SSH on the accounts I needed. I will write a review when I've been their a little longer.
qMx-TC 07-25-2009, 05:56 AM Good choice, I had a reseller account with HawkHost a while back and they were great. Hope it all goes well for you :)
314Hosting 07-25-2009, 08:39 AM If you are just starting, try innohosting. They are old and well known company.
dhcart 07-25-2009, 10:02 AM We have reseller accounts on Hostdime and Surpasshosting for years. Their services are great. You can add them to your list as alternative. Good luck.
admin-caperhosting 07-25-2009, 11:56 AM That's Great, Best of luck and do post a review when ready :)

HTTP404 07-25-2009, 04:43 PM :O "Allows Over Selling"
Think again, many oversold hosts are always poor, if you oversell its likely that there servers are oversold.
