Color or Colour? :D

As color is the American spelling of colour, I have to say color. :D

Yes... us people with the big guns spell it color :)

Clever or not we may be but color is the way we spell it... those stuck in the past spell it colour... we can guess who they are

we invented the damn language (for invented read stole extensively from other lanaguages). you just forgot half the letters.

We were always taught in school to use colour, if you had spelled it color it would have been marked wrong. Same as cheque and check, etc.

I think only USA used color until the internet came around. Now everyone seems to be using 'color'

Color is the only american spelled word i use (colour=blah) but I do use cheque, highway, etc :)

Is cheque and check the same thing? I thought cheque was the money-thing and check was "find out if something is working" kind of word?

I use colour, but that's because I had to learn british english in school. No "american slang bad spelling awful pronounciation" in my days :)

Yah, I cheque can be spelt either way but again I spell it cheque. I think it's the U.S. that spells it check. ;)

American's developed the "easy" english. The words that actually sound the same that they look... Colour sounds more like an alcholic beverage... a cheque? Put that in front of a 3rd grader and they's say "Checkwe". :D

Colour......

If the USA wants to take the ENGLISH language and reproduce there version of it, well good luck to them, even if they are misspelling words. It's unfortunate they don't own there own language.

No modern-day langage was magically "developed" by one country or another, so to say English belongs to any one country is a falacy.

In Singapore - its the British Way. Eg. Labour, Colour, Cheque, Defence.......and so on. As long as you speak English than everything is correct! I rest my case.:D

You forget that color is used in html. I know many pages that show up when you search because in the code the same word is used.

Ummm... last I checked Google (and every other "big" search engine) completely ignores HTML, in both indexing and in relevent listings. Sure, there were probably a few bugs in the system that caught the Google bot, but I somehow doubt that 26,000,000 sites got through.
