Personally, I don't believe Ensim is that bad. We use it on +/- 20 of our servers and no complaints at all... Carl Axel Teflon 11-09-2002, 01:33 PM CPanel has way more features. Cpanel is more user friendly. Clients are attracted to CPanel better than Ensim. CPanel is a top favourite Control Panel. Easier to Customise. The list goes on! Smokie 11-09-2002, 01:57 PM C panel allows over selling and is buggy. If I wanted to see how many I can put on a account, or how many on a server I would use c panel Ensim will not allow that it is stable and offers the same and more you have to look around the control panel a little. In a nut shell yea c panel looks cool, but when your down load speed is a crawl rember you get what you pay for. My 2 cents :) SBY Mike 11-09-2002, 02:01 PM I'd prefer cpanel over ensim, it's more user-friendly for our clients. PixelAxis 11-09-2002, 02:03 PM CPanel is a LOT easier to use IMO NxTek 11-09-2002, 03:47 PM Originally posted by Axel Teflon CPanel has way more features. Cpanel is more user friendly. Clients are attracted to CPanel better than Ensim. Please explain. belaus 11-09-2002, 04:54 PM I believe that YES, cPanel looks absolutely better. In fact, the features are soo easy to understand that almost everyone can simply start their own website in no time and with little support from your part. However, the recent upgrades of cPanel have cause us nothing else but problems, and bugs are being fixed at a very slow rate. That's why we recently shifted everything to ensim. Not to mention the difference in price :d Neo3Net 11-09-2002, 10:12 PM Ensim in my opinion hasn't come to realize that Cpanel exisits and that there are other control panels out there and more to come :). Ensim see's there only competition as Plesk and Sphera. Ensim is a limited control panel and it can not be customized as well as Cpanel can. However, ensim does well because companies like Rackshack buy into it because since its so limited it is hard for users to mess it up. You can't ask whats better. You need to try each out yourself (backend as well as front) and see yourself which is better. Thanks johnallen 11-09-2002, 10:53 PM With Ensim I think from the Admin's point of view ensim is a little bit better. It's somewhat well organized. It runs php in safe mode. It doesn't allow users in their shell to view other member's files, see who is online, or even view the processes running. Cpanel is great for the customer. It looks great. It's easy to use. It has all the features a customer wants. There are updates frequently by the company who makes it. They are very helpful if you need any assistance. I think the price is high because they know they have a better product and can get away with charging a high price. I recently switched from Ensim to Cpanel. Mythril 11-09-2002, 11:14 PM Cpanel all the way it is made more better and it uses /cpanel or 2082 not /admin where you might have a bulletin board and not be able to get into the right admin panel:stickout: parawing742 11-09-2002, 11:15 PM From a resellers perspective: Check out the demos on the Ensim website and imagine your end-users trying to figure out what all this stuff is. I had an Ensim plan for less than a month. |
