It seems this 'Beta' thing was something that someone started, but never finished.

Are they going to finish it... or ?

What else would you like to see in it?

Why not use the one that came with your forum software? It seems it was badly written, I click on my signature, click on Edit, and then have to click on another link to modify it?

Seems weird, no?

There was a discussion about this the other day.

They do need some work, specifically pulling in all of the vBulletin native profile items that currently don't exist in the new profiles. Also pulling in the signature editing so you don't have to click through 3 links just to edit your signature. Speeding them up as well.

Mike poses a good question - what else would everyone like to see? What could be improved besides the above?

A link from the older profile to the newer one, and a link from the newer one to the older one.

A link on each to the other would work.

Keep in mind, we don't necessarily have to keep the enhanced version...but we could make improvements to it and integrate the few missing pieces of the native profiles to make it better.

Or perhaps it's a setting in the user control panel where you can choose which one you'd like to use.

Although I'm not really interested those social networking type profiles, they come in handy when I want to know more about someone, his/her real name, favorites, etc.

So even if you don't improve them, I think they can stay.

Adding "Beta" to everything is cool. Google do it - they do it on some projects for 4+ years ;)

I don't see why we need some fancy profile, why can't the default one do?
