Hello,
in order to host my website I've ordered the smallest package at One.com (http://www.one.com/). As I'm going to host several small webpages at this account, I've set the page to work with a subdomain, eg: companyname.mydomain.com.
For the company domain (that would be eg: www.companyname.com) I've ordered another domain at EuroDNS (http://www.eurodns.com/). To link the domain name to my webspace I've set a CNAME record on the subdomain (companyname.mydomain.com.), however that doesn't seem to work. When I access the original subdomain name (companyname.mydomain.com) it works fine, but if I try to access it by the other domain name (companyname.com) it shows up a different page (see screenshot at the attachments).
How can I fix that?

If i have understood you right, i think it should not be a problem at all.
Just forward the domain (http://www.companyname.com/) to companyname.mydomain.com.
Try and let us know if it works

Thank you for the answer.
That's exactly what I did. I also thought that it should be easy, but somehow it doesn't work.
The webhoster's subdomain is:
http://prohorses.c-rubens.de/
The domain that I wish to connect to the subdomain is:
http://prohorses-haras.com/
As you can see the subdomain alone works fine. I've uploaded a screenshot of the DNS records in the attachments.
Is there something wrong in the configuration or is it the webhosting provider's fault?

I can see the haras domain is registered at EuroDNS. So, Why not ask the EuroDNS Support or look in their knowledge base for 301 domain redirect help

ok, Just Got this from EuroDns.com....
1. In your account, go to My Domains > Manage my domains
2. Select the domain to redirect
3. Click Edit the URL Forwarding
4. In the field Url to Forward From, type the hostname of the source url (e.g. www)
5. In the field Url to Forward To, type the destination url (www.example.com)
6. In the field Into a frame,
- select 'no' to display the destination url
- select 'yes' to display the source url
7. Click on Confirm Your Details
It will take up to 1-2 hours for your forwarding to take effect.
Important: This option is only available if the domain is configured on EuroDNS' nameservers (ns1.eurodns.com / ns2.eurodns.com).

The problem with that is: It only displays an HTML frame with the destination website in it, which is not very search engine friendly. I need the domain to be connected directly without any frames.

Yes they named me 2 nameservers (2 URLs, no IP).
