Hello,
Well with Kayako we're able to see those who access our website.
What we've found is every now and then we see people accessing the site from their harddrive.
They are not using offline services, because if they were Kayako would not be able to pick up the script upload.
So we have their IP, file location, hostname etc.
Any suggestions on what you can do?
Thanks!

Well that does not mean they are not stealing your site, alot of business's use a proxy that stores websites on the main server, making it appear they are not on your site but they are just using resources from your site.
If they are stealers then they are stupid not to move the kayako before saving the index page.
Nothing you can really do unless you know the site they are going to use it on.

Isn't it possible that the page could be cached on the visitors computer?
Anyway, if they really are stealing your site, maybe they'll upload it to their host without editing the code and you can see the referring url.
Then you can always go ahead and contact them, their host etc.

You should be able to force the chat when this occurs - maybe you could directly ask.

Well the thing is, we've had people come up to us and say why does your site look similar to someone elses.
When we look it happens to be a rip of our site. It doesn't take a scientist to guess that the people you see with it previously on their C drive, My Documents the day before might have taken a rip.

Can you see the actual file path it's coming from? If so what is it?
If it's coming from temporary internet files etc maybe not but if it's located in C:\docs and settings\bob\my docs\that good looking site i'll copy\index.html it would be pretty straight forward:D

Who's to say this person or person(s) didn't save and/or archive a specific page of your website onto their harddrive?
I tend to do this specifically with threads, but there may also be a good reason for doing it on or to your website.

It came from
C:/Docmuents and Settings/"UserName"/My Documents/New Site/index.html
That proves a lot imo.
