View Full Version : would anybody be interested in an interactive support manual?
GlobalProNetwork 11-08-2002, 09:21 PM Well I'm making an interactive support manual for the Cpanel. I am taking pictures from the cpanel itself and will make a through interactive support manual. Now by interactive I don't mean flash or java, I mean the use of pictures and common easy words for customers so they can understand what the problem may be. The manual will probably consist of over 100 pages and will explain issues of hotlinks and other sort of stuff. If anybody is interested in this OR FUNDING THIS ;). Let me know. I've started on it, and will be using the blue color (not bluetrix or the light/skyblue) panel to explain all of the features. On cpanelskins.com it's panel #4. Well I'm doing this anyway, would anybody be interested in buying or funding this while I do all the hard work? :D
EDIT: Also it is possible for me to open up a domain name so you can download and add more support options per your request. In the future I will be planning on doing all of the cpanel skins, the Ensim and Plesk panels...and whatever panels there are left afterwards. Then afterwards we will create interactive server support showing the do's and dont's of what you did wrong and if it is your fault and lastly use flash to finish off the job. I've noticed many support centers not having images, or interactive type of stuff for their users. Funds could help me a lot so I can find more people to help me with this.

GlobalProNetwork 11-09-2002, 09:06 AM I'm looking for people who would be willing to work for non profit until we get sponsors and the site up. We would need the following:
1 PHP Programmer
1 ASP Programmer
1 MySQL Database Manager
1 more knowledge writer
The basic idea: We would have logins for hosts. They would download a file or two in either asp or php (depending on their server). They can change the look of their support center the way they would like it to look. All the scripts would be run from our own server (unless the host wishes to negotiate through another plan). Hosts would pay monthly fee for the service. We would range the knowledge center from not just panels, but to php programing, asp programming, MYSQL support...and so on and so forth. We would create anti piracy protection as well using asp/php code. I have a really great idea in mind and the hosts would get a great supporty system for a cheap price. If you have any knowledge from the above don't hesitate to contact me through PM.
dbbrock1 11-10-2002, 04:01 AM Dang, Took my idea :P
GlobalProNetwork 11-10-2002, 11:01 PM I've allready begun on the project. I will have a one page demo available. This is only a demo. I am still working alone. If anybody's interested in joining up, please feel free to PM me. I allready have two sponsors. More sponsors are necessary since this is a big project. I have contacted cpanel, plesk, and ensim. Waiting for the approval hopefully we will get them soon :).

skelley1 11-11-2002, 05:54 AM What kind of funding are you looking for? Do you have anything worked out for ROI for any investors yet?
GlobalProNetwork 11-11-2002, 08:17 AM Investors get free interactive support/manuals as well as advertisement features on the site and upcoming other community support forums. Interactive manuals do not get any advertisements since they stay non partisan (unless the hostee changes the look of the manual which is possible).
We have two hosts who have offered hosting already. I won't accept cash funds yet because I would like to have a demo up of what the idea is before investors actually sign us up.
EDIT: Shikha I'll e-mail you within three hours since I had an emergency come up which I have to tend to.
GlobalProNetwork 11-11-2002, 12:49 PM Allright I e-mailed you. I just bought a domain for the company as well. The link will be www.webhosttechs.com,.net, or .org. I will have a demo manual along with a layout hopefully very shortly.
skelley1 11-11-2002, 01:05 PM Could you send me an email with a little more detail of what investment you are looking for or what other help you need? What kind of investment would be required for free support manuals etc. for example?
HTTPbit 11-11-2002, 01:43 PM Hello OtakuVillage
I got your email. Just going through it. Reply you soon.
Thanks.

GlobalProNetwork 11-11-2002, 04:32 PM Skelly I will e-mail you within a few hours. I have another emergency errand to run. I feel like an athlete with all these errands :).
We just got the heads up from CPanel and Ensim. Plesk is also agreeing to it :). So now that I have the get go, I'm gonna start going for it and finish completing the cpanel demo menu.
GlobalProNetwork 11-11-2002, 08:07 PM Skelly1, I've just e-mailed you :). I'm waiting for our server to go online as well so we can really get started :).
