View Full Version : Partying
Rochen 07-05-2009, 11:58 PM Besides the "networking events" where are the party spots? :)
Are there any decent bars / clubs in the National Harbor area or is it a case of cabbing / limoing into DC itself?
- Chris
kkleiner 07-06-2009, 09:52 AM National Harbor is growing and opening new entertainment options every day. And, it's a quick water taxi ride to Old Town Alexandria, Georgetown and Mt.Vernon. Check out the National Harbor site (http://www.nationalharbor.com/consumer/consumer.htm).
UH-Matt 07-08-2009, 12:59 PM Also are there any hostingcon nights/parties organised yet by any sponsors etc? Seems a little quiet on that front this year unless im out of the loop all of a sudden :)
JordanJ 07-08-2009, 03:35 PM Matt, I was thinking the same thing!
mdrussell 07-08-2009, 06:09 PM There is going to be a GNAX party on the Tuesday night. Go and visit GNAX/NetDepot and spend some money there to get an invite :)

For some reason (hadn't finished the morning coffee) I read that as "geek free events" :)
That Bobby McKee's place looks interesting. I've never seen anything like that before.
CArmstrong 07-08-2009, 09:49 PM I will be at any party where someone's buying.

Matt - this will be free to everyone - we will have a sign up site online shortly that all you need to do is register to be on the guest list.
UH-Matt 07-09-2009, 06:15 AM Sounds good... may grab myself a netdepot server for a monitoring station anyway, should help a little with the bar fund.

HivelocityGM 08-10-2009, 01:47 PM There is a great restaurant in downtown DC called The Garden. The food is great and not too expensive. Around 11pm the place turns into a swanky club where its not uncommon to see Redskins and National players.
I was there on a Saturday night last year so I cant say for sure what it be like on a weekday.
