Raq 550 Basic 1.26 Ghz 2 X 80 GB 512 MB $100 $371/mo.
$278/mo.
how come its cheaper? and is this directcontract with serverrack.net or with you?
what lines serverrrack.net has?
valcato 11-08-2002, 05:31 PM This will be a deal with me until January when you will transfer dealings to ServerRack.
I purchased this server before ServerRack had to raise their prices, which is why I have secured the lower monthly fees. They will STAY AT $250/month from January onwards - not go up.
You would have to ask serverrack about their connectivity, but their network is at about 30% utilisation and the speeds we have experienced on their network are phenominal. Their approach to personal service is unique and I would recommend them to anyone!

skylab 11-11-2002, 08:35 AM [good comments from a customer]
they have a very solid network using sprint + savvis connectivity, which offers great times from europe. they're also upgrading their network in Q1/Q2 - 2003 to a new fiber provider (keeping sprint + savvis as backup).
their support is also amazing and very personal. i'm very happy with them and have had almost 2 years experience with them.

valcato 11-13-2002, 07:03 AM PRICING AMENDED AGAIN:
FREE SETUP: Pay $250 and move in today, then pay nothing until January 2003!!
Bashar 11-13-2002, 07:33 AM $250 from today untill 1st JAN 2003 ? and start paying $250/month later on?
skylab 11-13-2002, 08:20 AM i think he means $250 now and pay nothing until january 2003.
Bashar 11-13-2002, 08:31 AM and start paying how much after january?
skylab 11-13-2002, 08:39 AM looks like $250 a month from the looks of his initial post, directly to serverrack. which is $121 or so off of their usual montly payment.
with that you get a rock solid network and fanatical 3rd tier support (not 100% fully managed, but, almost. lots of handholding is available if you're not very comfortable with administering your own server)
Bashar 11-13-2002, 08:46 AM Payable by 3, 6, or 12 month periods only.
See below for included services and extras.

from their site so after JAN ill have to pay month-to-month or 3 months each?
skylab 11-13-2002, 08:57 AM you'd probably want to contact either server rack or valcato for that question, as, this is a special deal that server rack doesn't normally offer.
Bashar 11-13-2002, 09:13 AM lets wait for valcatoanswer then :)
jalonz 11-13-2002, 01:26 PM Guys,
Jerome's lease expires in January and he is putting in a plug for us to help get the machine back in use. Its only 3 months old.
If a customer would want to lease the machine in December, we would terminate Jerome's lease, refund him the month's payment, and start a new lease with the new customer. This would get rid of sublet liability and other complications.
Regardless of when the lease starts, the new customer needs to pay on a quarterly basis (this is a brand new machine). Of course, we are always willing to negotiate offline, etc.
The $250/month price is a special, one-time offer to get the machine back online immediately.
Hope this clears things up...
:)
