Servers are getting this error:

rdate: timeout for rdate.cpanel.net (http://rdate.cpanel.net/)

servers time are already off by hours. How to resolve this?

I still havent found a way to fix this. any help?

Any firewall installed? if so do you have port 123 open for egress?

what egress is for? why do i need to open that port? im not using apf.

If the port isn't open, how is rdate going to communicate with the time server?

Doesn't have to be apf. Could be csf, or just plain old iptables rules.

I dont use ntpd. i believe 123 is for ntp. im using 37 for rdate but i found out that port 37 is not in the firewall

Yeah, sounds like the firewall is blocking it, did that fix it?
